Sunshine in Paris gains deserved Group 1 double

After performing with huge credit at the highest level in Australia all Autumn, Sunshine in Paris gained just reward for her consistence and excellence with a brave win in the Group 1 Doomben 10,000 this weekend.

Despite hating the heavy track, she showed her trademark grit and determination to overhaul a resurgent Rothefire in the final strides, under yet another inspired steer from Champion jockey James McDonald.

Sunshine in Paris was a JHB Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale purchase from the Newgate Farm draft on behalf of John and Deb Camilleri’s Fairway Thoroughbreds. A huge congratulations to John and Deb, who were both trackside to enjoy this momentous day. Well done also to trainers Annabel Neasham and Rob Archibald, who continue to produce this mare in top order every time that she steps out.
