Fireball was put away after an impressive pre-Christmas debut win, and returned this weekend in the $2m Inglis Millennium with jockey James McDonald in the saddle.
Settled in a beautiful spot mid pack, he was expertly guided into the clear in the straight, and powered home ahead of his rivals to win in fantastic style. With just one trial in preparation for this race, there is an huge amount of improvement ahead for Fireball as he is now pointed towards the Group 1 Golden Slipper next month.
Fireball was a purchase for our Colt Partnership alongside Tony Fung Colts at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale, where he was offered by Yarraman Park Stud on behalf of breeder Michael O’Keefe.
