Good morning for JHB Partnerships at the First Official 2YO Trials

The first official 2YO trials are always a fantastic morning to get the first look at the fresh crop of 2YO, with always plenty to learn and a rich history of future stars, including the likes of Capitalist and King’s Legacy for the JHB Colt Partnership.

Knightsbridge (Farnan x Festivity)

Farnan colt Knightsbridge was an impressive winner for the JHB Colt Partnership in Heat 5, knuckling down well to overhaul Our Emperor in the final stride. He also ran the fastest final 600m of the whole morning, which bodes well for his future.

Also in action for the JHB Colt Partnership was Stay Inside colt Incognito in heat 9, and he also showed plenty of talent. He strode up in fine style in the straight, before just getting a little lost coming off the bridle for the first time. He will take great benefit from this, and is one to watch out for.

For our Filly Partnership, Capitalist filly Mayflower was another to catch the eye in heat 4. She travelled powerfully to lead early in the straight, before her fitness gave out in the final stages. She’s another who should take a good step forward from this first experience.
