Plaintiff gets the right verdict at Rosehill on debut

Regally-bred Zoustar filly Plaintiff got her racing career off to a perfect start today at Rosehill, powering away from a smart field of fillies to break her maiden at the first time of asking under jockey Tommy Berry.

She has impressed at the trials, and here on race day it was no different, settling in a beautiful position on a speed-favouring track and, despite still not fully knowing how to let down properly, she was too good, running her final 600m in a very smart 33.41 seconds.

Plaintiff is out of Group 1 Tatt’s Tiara winner Prompt Response, and was secured on behalf of her owners John and Deb Camilleri from the Widden Stud draft at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale.

Congratulations to John and Deb, and many thanks to trainer Peter Snowden and to jockey Tommy Berry.
